There are several Sunday School classes at FUMC and they would all welcome you! Adult Sunday School classes are open to any and all who want to come. Children's Sunday School classes are divided by age group.
The Pathfinders class meets in the conference room in the Hutchison Office Annex, directly across the street from the sanctuary to the west.
The Kum Dubl class (pronounced like "Come Double") starts each week with coffee and snacks. We have a structured agenda starting with a welcome to all visitors. There are always some business items, sharing of joys and concerns, singing, scripture and a lesson out of the Adult Cokesbury Sunday School curriculum. A different teacher from the church gives the lesson each month.
The Kum Dubl class meets in the annex just across the breezeway on the east side of our campus.
The New Beginnings class meets in the New Beginnings room on the first floor next door to the fellowship hall.
"Again I assure you... Where two or more are gathered in my name, I'm there with them." Matthew 18:19-20
The Two or More Sunday School class is perfect if you are looking for a small, intimate group with which to study the Word. Our studies vary from structured workbook and video Bible study to individual subjects taught by class members on a rotating basis, giving each of us an opportunity to teach a lesson. Two or More member Kim Cummings said it best: "When you teach, you have to study and [studying] brings you closer to the Lord."
Our class is made up of singles, married couples and unaccompanied spouses ranging in age from late thirties and up. Our Bible study discussions are lively and offer each individual an opportunity to voice their concerns, ideas and beliefs and to feel comfortable doing so.
The Two or More class meets in the Two or More room on the first floor of the education building, across from the nursery.
